Heidi & Kyle chose to have their wedding ceremony and say their vows under the open summer skies with Donnelly Dome and the Alaskan Range present in the background. With family and friends close by, they picked a beautiful spot for a first look and another on a small hilltop close the Dome for a ceremony.
The day began with photos of the bridal details. The family has a remodeled red pickup truck that added so much character into the photos. It’s also what the bride and her dad drove to the ceremony. The florals were grown and put together by the bride and her friends. I was pretty impressed by how beautiful her summer bouquets and boutonnieres were.
Heidi and Kyle wanted to share a first look before going to the ceremony site, so they chose a private trail close to the house. It was just the two of them and the photographers. We took a few bride and groom photos following the first look, and joined the rest of the bridal party to head to the site. The ceremony happened in the mountains with Donnelly Dome announcing itself in the background. Many laughs were shared among the bridal party and family as they celebrated the day!
