Initially, I stumbled upon photography as a hobby after graduating high school, not even knowing how to operate a digital camera. I didn't take very long before I became fascinated with the art. In the early days I mostly captured landscapes and wildlife until I noticed something was missing in my photos -- People. The embodiment of purpose, passion, creativity, and talent.
Everyone has a story to tell. I want to help bring that story to life by photographing moments and letting you hand them down from generation to generation in beautiful tangible photographs.
It's so much more than just a job, it's something that I can give and share with you that will hopefully inspire, remind you, and bring joy. What I want to give you is more than just photos, I want to give you a great photo experience. One of my goals as a photographer is to be invisible when I need to, but also step up and take charge in order to accomplish and keep everything moving forward, so you can get lost in the moment and soak up the moments.
Most importantly, you can be present, enjoy the day that you've spent months planning, make the memories, and then after the party is over, you can re-live those moments again in beautifully printed photographs and albums!

I'll take it black, but sometimes I add a little cream. I'm not a huge fan of all the flavors and varieties of things you can put in your cup. Just give it to me simple. A cup of coffee is a great thing to share. Someone once said, "there is always time for a cup of coffee with a friend, especially when it's on a mountainside."

I grew up feeding and watering horses, cattle, chickens, turkeys, and ducks. Driving tractors, horse teams, and throwing hay bales was part of the regular daily routine as a kid and still the smell of tilled soil brings back childhood memories.

Like many true Alaskans, fall is one of my favorite times of the year. So when the frost accompanies the sunrise and the leaves start to change, it's time to go up into the mountains. Even when I'm hunting I still carry a camera.

The winters are long and when the spring appears, it's time to be outside in the sunshine. I think one of the coolest things about Alaska is the midnight sun and daylight 24/7. I love that it doesn't get dark at night in the summer!
