A Montana Wedding Venue

The Barn on Mullan is a Montana wedding venue set near the fairways of The Ranch Club golf course in Missoula, Montana. We visited there briefly on our recent trip to Montana to walk around the venue and explore the grounds. I had been there previously at a wedding of a friend and wanted to stop in again and connect with the staff for a quick tour. If you’re interested in the venue, then read on for a quick summary of the place. I loved this venue because it was scenic and also so cozy for a winter or early spring wedding when the weather can be unpredictable.

The venue sits just outside of town and offers sweeping views of the green golf course with mountain peaks in the distance. The barn is able to accommodate up to 150 guests with the indoor space and up to 300 utilizing the outdoor patio and additional tents.

The venue has a full team and catering on site to ensure every detail is in place and on time for the event. You will have a designated manager working with you before the day on a timeline, decor and setup, and other services. Included in the venue are tables, chairs, linens, flatware, signage, glassware, and more.

The barn offers a bridal suite for getting ready and prep on the day of. This is available starting 8 a.m. on the wedding day and there is also a groom’s getting ready room on site as well. This makes it easy for prep and takes the headache of transportation away. Once you arrive on site for the wedding in the morning, you don’t have to leave until the exit at the reception.

Outside the barn there is a patio with string lights and a fire pit for guests to mingle and enjoy the sunsets while at the event. The grassy area also is great for outdoor ceremonies in the summer and photos.

To reserve the venue, different rates apply according to seasons and capacities. As always, a deposit is needed to reserve the date and then payments are conducted following the deposit. Additional amenities can be added to create a full experience and the staff will see to that everything runs without a glitch. This is a great venue for weddings and is relatively budget friendly. If you are in a tight financial spot, you can use the venue for the wedding, and later if you are wanting more portraits, schedule a session in a location like Glacier National Park, or the surrounding lakes, like Flathead Lake. It’s Montana, so there are numerous options for photo locations and a wedding or elopement in or near GNP is on my bucket list!
