This couple is really special to me for a few reasons. One, they are really good friends of mine and have been for years. Two, I have had the honor to photograph their journey together from their engagement all the way till now as they are beginning their family. Being able to see the photos over the years and watch as these two amazing individuals grow together into a family has been a complete blessing, and I’m so happy to continue capturing the seasons of life they go through and share with their growing family.
I almost thought the weather wasn’t going to cooperate for this maternity session. It was cloudy, sprinkling, and wet from the rain the night before. After waiting for a few minutes in the car to see if the rain was going to continue or let up, Amanda decided to just go for it and after the first few minutes the rain stopped and the clouds began to lift slightly off the mountains. The landscape turned so moody and beautiful as we shot some great images. The B+W images are some of my favorite.
(Just a little disclaimer… these photos are from their shoot in August of last year, but I loved this session so I had to put it on the blog!)
